Empowering Communities With Solar Energy

Ampliform is developing a renewable energy initiative situated in the heart of Centre County. Black Moshannon Solar is a 252 MWac solar project that will fuel local growth and sustainability, promoting a brighter future for Rush Township and beyond.

Through substantial tax revenues generated by this project, Black Moshannon Solar will provide a reliable and substantial stream of funding to local schools and public services.

Projected to have a multi-million dollar impact on the local economy, Black Moshannon Solar will likely boost the financial health of Rush Township and surrounding areas significantly without imposing new taxes on residents.

We are actively collaborating with pivotal local institutions such as the Philipsburg-Osceola School District, the Elks Lodge, and the Moshannon Valley Economic Development Partnership to ensure this project serves as a pillar of local development.

Black Moshannon Solar is carefully planned with a strong emphasis on environmental stewardship, particularly considering the site's historical challenges. We are dedicated to taking steps so that our project supports future land restoration initiatives.

Responsible Development: Black Moshannon Solar Project

Making use of over 2,000 acres of land formerly mined for coal, the Black Moshannon Solar Project will reduce acid mine drainage and create a source of renewable energy.  Careful design, natural buffers and working with the existing topography will help preserve views of the lush landscapes of Rush Township.

Black Moshannon Solar is in the development phase, with a project design and permit applications anticipated for the Fall of 2024.  Our team is working closely with local officials, landowners, the community, and other stakeholders through every step of the process. Our goal is to make sure local voices are heard and collaboration guides us to create a project that will be an asset to this community.
